March 21
It was a long day flying home to Vancouver. We arrived at the airport two hours before our flights, and at 7:00 am SJO was busy but efficient.
Our five-hour Air Canada flight to Toronto was delayed. We had just pushed back from the gate when the pilot came on to announce a "minor" mechanical problem, to do with nose steering. A reboot of the system seemed to correct things and an hour later we departed safely.
We had a 3-hour layover in Toronto before boarding the 4.5-hour flight to Vancouver.
We were in our bed by 11:30 PM; comfortable but missing the jungle night music.
As I unpacked the next day I found one lone KIND Bar at the bottom of my day pack. I placed it in our kitchen pantry and haven’t it touched since.
